Story of the DKI Group
How it all began
DKI Group has an interesting history tracing back to 1989 when the company DK international AS was founded by Ole Falengreen Nielsen. Since its foundation the companies of the group have experienced an exciting development characterized by innovation and growth which has resulted in several “Børsen Gazelle” awards.
2014
Falengreen A/S and Falengreen Beverage A/S merges to one company under the name Falengreen A/S.
2013
DK international AS is changing company name to Falengreen Beverage A/S.
2011
Zeuner Grafisk as buys PJ Schmidt in Vojens, as well as F. Hendriksen in Copenhagen.
2010
DK international food AS is changing company name to Falengreen A/S.
2009
DK international AS acquires Lapin Beer & Long Drink Aps and the product range is extended to include ciders, beers and long drinks.
DKI Logistics A/S builds a warehouse of 24,500 m2 in Køge which increases the total warehousing capacity to 89,000 m2.
DK international interior AS receives the Børsen Gazelle Award 2009.
DK international food AS is both ISO 22000 and BRC certified and receives the Børsen Gazelle Award 2009.
2008
DKI Logistics A/S builds a warehouse of 28,600 m2 in Horsens.
The company Prezious Home AS is founded – specializes in products for interior and exterior decoration. DK international care AS is awarded D & B’s AAA rating. DK international care AS establishes a department specializing in animal food preparations.
2007
DK international food AS invests in a new production line for snack products.
DK international care AS extends its product range to include wooden briquettes and pellets.
2006
DKI Logistics A/S starts operating from the 2 new warehouses – 22,000 m2 in Horsens and 14,000 m2 in Køge. DKI Logistics A/S is awarded D & B’s AAA rating. DK international care AS is awarded D & B’s AAA rating.
2005
The group moves to the new administration and production building in Stilling. DK international care AS is awarded D & B’s AAA rating.
2004
Construction of the new administration and production building in Stilling begins. DK international food AS is awarded D & B’s AAA rating.
2003
DKI Group becomes majority shareholder of Løgumkloster Lys A / S with production facilities both in Denmark and Poland. The products are sold by DK international interior AS.
2001
DKI Logistics AS is established as warehousing partner for members of the DKI Group as well as for external customers.
2000
Due to excessive growth DK international AS divides into four companies: DK international care AS (household products), DK international interior AS (candles and napkins), DK international AS (beverages) and DK international food AS (cheese and dairy products, etc.) – the DKI group becomes a reality.
1998
DK international AS receives the Børsen Gazelle Award 1998.
1997
DK international AS receives both Dun & Bradstreet AAA rating and the Børsen Gazelle Award 1997.
1996
DK international AS is appointed agent of the German fruit juice manufacturer EMIG GmbH & Co. and establishes a new department specializing in sale of candles and napkins.
1994
DK international AS acquires the agency of Delicarta SpA – an Italian manufacturer of high quality kitchen towels and toilet paper.
1993
DK international AS acquires machinery and know-how to start up production of pizza topping.
1992
DK international AS is appointed agent of the Belgian company ONTEX – manufacturer of diapers and feminine hygiene products.
1989
DK international AS is founded by Ole Falengreen Nielsen at the premises located Boulstrupvej 2 in Odder. The company operates as a trading company with sale of black garbage bags from Germany and toilet paper from Poland.
